Dawn Serkin is an award winning Tennessee artist specializing in painted portraits, photo restoration and handtinted black and white photography.

Dawn was presented the  Certified Artisan degree from the Tennessee Professional Photographers Association in 2000, after earning  the required merits from print competition  in three short years.

She has received several awards in the artist categories including two prestigious Fuji Masterpiece Awards, Artist of the Year, Top Ten, First Timer Award, W.W. Carrier Memorial Scholarship Award, as well as several First Place awards and National PPA merits.

In addition to her own print awards, Dawn has also assisted several photographers in taking their prints to the highest level by offering salon print enhancement and retouching services. Many of these prints have been published in PPA’s Loan Collection Books.

After many years of offering art services exclusively to professional photographers, Dawn Serkin Arts is in the  process of  offering mixed media, oil paintings and restoration services to the general public, as well as some of her own work available for purchase.

Dawn works in oils, watercolor and acrylic, using traditional paints and digital technology to create beautiful works of art.

She has recently moved away from the city and back into the more peaceful community where she grew up.  Here she’s inspired by a deep family history,  river, horses, deer, brightly colored wildflowers…. the list goes on. Whether creating a painting of  a landscape, cityscape, a baby or a rockstar, the inspiration is everywhere.
